Hi everyone! Wow this month has flown by, we hope everyone has been doing well! We have lots of exciting news and cool stuff to share so lets get to it! 😎

Captilight is thrilled to announce that the Path of Kami Demo will be launching on the Game Round platform on May 13th. This is a community-driven playtesting platform. The test will last four weeks, with a survey being distributed in the last two weeks!

We’ll be exhibiting at the Game Carnival next month! Here’s a sneak peak of our booth (our booth number is 9). Stop by and say hello!

Dev Updates

We’ve been focusing on bug fixing and polishing the demo. We’ve made a few updates already with quality of life updates. We’ve also been preparing for the Steam Next Festival, we plan on showing a large update of the demo for the event!

Most recently we’ve been working on some props for the waterfall area, we’ve built a modular kit to make pagoda’s here’s an example of what that could look like:

We’ve also been working on some menu updates like the pause menu:

We also plan on adding a collectibles menu here’s a sneak peak of some mockups so far!

Right now the demo has floating cubes that are used to place on pressure plates, we are working on some statues to replace the cubes, here’s some work in progress shots:

Most importantly….we are working on a new model for Kazeyo..but we’ll wait until later for a bigger reveal. We can’t wait to show you what he looks like now!! Until then check out this sneak peak concept work from Janet for what were planning for the waterfall area :)

Crowdfunding Updates

We’re now 30% towards our funding goal and have 1 month left! Thank you everyone for all the amazing support. Help us boost the campaign by sharing our crowdfunding campaign or backing it on IFW. Anything helps!

We hope everyone enjoyed today’s update, have a wonderful weekend! Until next time,

Deana
